Founded in 1970, the NGC is a specialty club which encourages and
supports the breeding and exhibition of the Gloster Canary
A very successful 42nd Annual NGC Show was held at the
Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel, Newark, NJ
on Saturday, October 29th, 2011.
A record breaking October snow storm did not prevent
exhibitors from entering 248 Glosters which were judged by
Regina McCarthy, from Massachusetts.
Nick and Annalain Barrett from King's Lynn, Norfolk, England are the authors of "The Gloster Fancy Canary".
The second edition is now available. The cost of the book is $35 plus postage ($3 for media mail which takes 10 to 12 days or $6 for priority mail which takes 2 to 3 days).

This Classification has been used at the NGC show, the National Cage Bird Show and at many local cage bird shows. The classification is the product of meetings between representatives of the three Gloster Specialty Clubs in the United States, i.e., the United Gloster Breeders, the International Gloster Breeders Association, and the National Gloster Club. The committee members were Winfield Checkley, Fintan Keegan, Regina McCarthy, Barbara Rosario, and Ralph Tepedino.
